Statewide Assessments

Beaverhead County High School participates in several statewide assessments including the ACT with Writing for our Juniors and ACCESS for ELLS for our English Language Learners. These assessments provide valuable information for educators to better understand how students are advancing in their academic abilities. The dates for testing will be published annually on the school website but generally, testing takes place during the 2nd semester. Students with IEPs or 504s will have the opportunity to participate with the appropriate accommodations in place.

The Office of Public Instruction has created this document for families regarding the importance of testing in the state of Montana:

SIX THINGS STAKEHOLDERS SHOULD KNOW ABOUT PARTICIPATION AND TESTING IN MONTANA.

If you have questions about any of the assessment efforts at BCHS, please feel free to contact a member of our administrative team.
