Teen Tone Auditions:
ROBO Call – Thursday May 14, 2020
Good Evening Students and Parents, This is Gary Haverfield, Superintendent at Beaverhead County High School will a special announcement from our Choir department and Mrs. Van Slyke regarding Teen Tone Auditions.
We are grateful for your patience and resilience as we navigate online schooling.
Music classes have undergone considerable adjustments. One of those adjustments is to Teen Tone auditions, which are usually held as a group. Auditions for Teen Tones select choir will be open to all current 9th, 10th and 11th graders who have treble voices, meaning Soprano or Alto.
Due to the online school situation, auditions will take place through email and zoom. Students will sing a low scale, high scale, My Bonnie is Over the ocean, and alto harmony part to Drink to Me Only With thine Eyes. Each student should choose a part to audition for that fits her voice: Soprano 1, Soprano 2, Alto 1, Alto 2. Audition material and practice tracks are located on the school website under Lesson Plans- Van Slyke-Teen Tone Auditions.
Teen Tone responsibilities, expectations and audition form should be read and completed. Auditions may be submitted May 18-21 by video recordings through email to cvanslyke@bchsmt.com and call backs will be May 26-27 through Zoom.
If you have questions or would like to speak with Mrs. Van Slyke, please send a message through email, include your question and phone number and she will contact you.
